Process and Booking

  • Clients lead with their ideas, preferences, and personal meaning while I guide the design process advising on composition, placement, colour, and technical considerations. Decisions and refinements are made together, with me bringing input and suggestions drawn from my experience and with consideration for the personal tastes and styles of my clients.

  • Custom tattoos are created for the individual wearing them.

Designs are not completed in advance as finished images. Instead, ideas are developed in stages, with time built into the process for discussion, fitting, and revision. You don’t need to have every detail decided before reaching out, clarity often comes through working together.

  • I open my books once a year for a two-week booking period, typically in December or January.

During this time, I dedicate focused time to reading inquiries and booking consultations for the coming year. All inquiries submitted during the booking window are reviewed.

Outside of this period, you’re still welcome to email, though I’m not always able to review or respond to new inquiries as my schedule allows.

Booking updates are shared in advance on social media and through my newsletter.

  • Because my work is custom and collaborative, I take on a limited number of projects each year.

Inquiries submitted during the annual booking period are reviewed as part of the booking process. Outside of this window, availability may occasionally open up due to schedule changes, though this cannot be guaranteed.

If you do not receive a response, it means I’m not able to take on your project at this time.

Sending the same request multiple times does not increase the likelihood of being booked. Outcomes may remain the same depending on availability and project fit.

  • Consultations are offered once a project has been accepted for consideration.

These conversations are an opportunity to discuss your idea in more detail, explore placement and scale, and make sure the project is a good fit. Consultations are exploratory and part of determining whether to proceed.

  • Design development happens primarily in person.

For many projects, placement and composition are refined directly on the body through fitting and stencilling. This allows adjustments to be made with the body in mind, rather than relying on a flat image.

Most colour tattoos require multiple sessions. Time is built into appointments for design revisions so decisions don’t feel rushed. Additional consultation or fitting time can be booked if needed.

Large projects often unfold over several months, allowing each layer to heal fully before the next is added.

  • If you’d like to reach out, it’s helpful to include:

    • a brief description of your idea

    • approximate size and placement

    • any reference images, if applicable

This information helps me understand your project and assess whether it’s a good fit.
